Megalith Whale Instant favorite. Rübezahl shows total command of bardic axe-blades first forged by Rob Darken, Roman Saenko, and the BBH, dual-wielding them with grace and wild force. Not just Slav-worship, but a sprawling and rugged Euro-American Black Metal, fortified with martial chug and shred. The basslines lope, lupine, under streaming skies of trem, driven by rolling thunder’s battery. Inhuman passions move human hands. Chariots of the gods arc over the Bering Strait, illuminating the New Barbarian in his circumpolar domain.
